Uganda 7: The Nile Cruise to Murchison Falls

The Nile Cruise up to Murchison Falls was amazing.

The wildlife and the scenery were spectacular.
The elephants meandering down to the Nile.
The baby elephant stayed close to the adult.
The hippos cooled off in the Nile.
The hippos tended to watch as our boat drifted by.
Life flourishes along the Nile.
The birds drank carefully keeping an eye out for Nile crocodiles!
The first glimpse of the falls up around the bend.
The birds preferred where the water was moving faster, probably less predators.
The birds themselves flew fast and ducked into the river for fish.

The falls mixed with a rain shower to create a really cool photo.
Nice smile, Mr. Hippo!

The crew navigate us safely. The boat was named The African Queen.
Years ago, Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn filmed the classic movie The African Queen here on the Nile in Murchison Falls National Park.
