18

March 19th, 1994

The whales spouted,
the ukuleles blended with the
Hawaiian breeze and a
Reverend Swami read poems to the couple.
The groom had more hair and dreams bigger than the island.

The beautiful bride dressed in white,
with thoughts of travels and new chapters not yet written.

They held each other in a gaze of harmony.
Yin and Yang balanced,
ever hopeful,
naive love held strong on the beach.
Eighteen years later, after many chapters lived, the love is exponential.
Travelers through a lifetime together,
ever mindful,
true love holds tight in our villa in the sand.
