Athens (The Plaka)

The Plaka in Athens

Masked makers of theater sing in choral sales,
trinkets, souvenirs and tokens-
swerve through the alleys
and ride through the Greek artery of Athens.
Ancient ruins guard the modern agora, Ionic bystanders look up
to the acropolis.
The Parthenon stands high upon its hill-
gazing down at its city of Athena.
Handmade crafts and oral traditions mingle-
Gaze upon the gyro,
just another taste in the world of GREECE!
